About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Rural Crime & Property Security

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

We will continue to target rural crime with a focus on burglary, theft of agricultural equipment, and criminal damage. Patrols in key rural locations will be increased, and we will work closely with local landowners and farming communities to promote security measures and identify offenders.

During OP DROVER, Officers conducted events in NEWPORT PAGNELL, OLNEY and HANSLOPE. 25 bikes were marked, and multiple tool marking kits were handed out. Neighbourhood watch visits were conducted, 7 people were signed up and 238 leaflets delivered. In addition, Trading Standards supported this operation and 6 trade persons were spoken to where no issues were identified.

The team will be conducting further bike and tool marking events throughout the summer (so check the events page for more details) to provide people with safety advice on how to look after their homes / property. This priority has been extended from 01/04/26

    Actioned 01 July 2026

  • Priority:

    Anti-Social Behaviour in Rural Communities

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

We are receiving reports of anti-social behaviour in villages and rural public spaces, including vehicle nuisance, noise disturbances, and youth-related ASB. Officers will carry out high-visibility patrols and work with partners, including local councils, to reduce incidents and provide long-term solutions.

During OP DROVER, targeted hot spot patrols were conducted. Officers responded to any ASB reports. 11 stop searches were completed and 1 arrest relating to anti – social behaviour reports. Work was also completed with the Pubs, where licencing checks were completed and 7 Drugs Wipes – to ensure that the community is safe when on a night out.

In terms of vehicle nuisance reports, multiple letter drops have been completed in targeted areas to build up a wide picture of the issue. Reports are being monitored, and fed back to the relevant department and agency (Milton Keynes Council) to support the Problem Solving approach. This priority has been extended from 01/04/26

    Actioned 01 July 2026

  • Priority:

Road Safety & Speeding in Rural Areas

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

During OP DROVER (3 day operation), Officers conducted multiple speed watches and road safety activities within the rural villages and Newport Pagnell. 5 people were reported for driving offences (careless driving/ no insurance) and 60 speeding tickets were issued. High visibility patrols were completed over the days, to provide a deterrent. Also where communities have raised concerns around Road Safety, these have been fed directly back to the Community Safety team who supported the days of action. This priority has been extended from 01/04/26

    Actioned 01 July 2026
