About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Repeated calls for service regarding the smell of cannabis in communal areas some blocks of flats

    Action taken:

    House to house completed to try and identify the source of the smell.
    Conduct regular high visibility patrols in and around the store to deter offending.
    Carry out frequent reassurance visits and maintain a visible policing presence during peak hours.
    Engage with residents and housing providers to gather intelligence and strengthen community confidence.

    Persistent begging outside Sainsburys in Shenley Church End and the local precinct.
    Reports of people being aggressively approached a they enter their car and feelings of intimidation.

    Action taken:

    Increased targeted high visibility patrols both inside and outside the premises.
    Liaise closely with store management to monitor concerns and identify any repeat individuals from CCTV. Community Protection warning's

    Engage with local homeless individuals to offer support, signpost services, and address any associated safeguarding or vulnerability issues.

    During the summer months the parish receives numerous reports of traveller encampments on the area.

    NH to work with MK Council for robust action in serving notices. If this has a large community impact ie. school fields, sports grounds, police powers can be used to move the encampments on. To be monitored by the NH team thought-out the summer
