Your local policing team
Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.
Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.
Led by the Police and community safety teams; this will be tackled by proactive operations to prevent and detect Burglaries across our Policing area. The Neighbourhood Policing Teams will work with the community safety teams to give security advice and help to protect members of our community. Our high visibility patrols will be targeted in areas identified as being most at risk, helping to prevent crime and identify criminals working in our areas.
Anti social behaviour
Anti-social behaviour has a real effect on victims and the community. Often people become repeat victims and require support from the police and partner agencies. We know that anti-social behaviour is a priority for the local community and has a significant effect on people’s lives. Anti-social behaviour also leads to other offences such as Criminal Damage and Assault and this can lead to lasting harm. Anti-social behaviour affects victim’s quality of life and without intervention of the police or partner agencies this often goes on for an extended period of time.
What we are doing:
We will identify key areas to target high visibility patrols. We are working together with our Community Safety colleagues to identify and deal with perpetrators. Our Schools officer is providing educational inputs at local academies in order to reduce the likelihood of ASB. We are also working with private and social housing sectors to deal with those who cause nuisance through excessive noise. We risk assess repeat victims and ensure that appropriate support agencies are involved where required
We will continue to support Community Speedwatch and target areas that are of concern to residents.
There are no meetings or event scheduled.
