About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    The Community has expressed concerns around drug dealing and anti-social use of vehicles in the Hungerford High Street and surrounding areas.

    Local residents have raised concerns regarding drugs dealing and the issues that surround the activities. The team are actively monitoring the situation and will continue to conduct targeted patrols and enforcement activity to address the issue.

    The neighbourhood team are continuing to patrol the area, both overtly and also using covert assets. Officers have also been actively disrupting criminal behaviour and targeting known individuals causing ASB through drug and vehicle use.

  • Priority:

    There has been a noticeable increase in dwelling and non-dwelling burglaries around Kintbury and surrounding rural areas.

    Action taken:

    The Neighbourhood Policing Team are actively patrolling areas affected. We have been out on foot walking in some of the affected areas to tackle the issue and provide reassurance. We have also tasked overnight patrols in the area by response crews when the NHPT are not on duty.

    There has been an increase in concern around anti-social use of vehicles in the Lambourn area, particularly in the area of High Street. - Residents have raised concern that there has been an increase in vehicles driving anti socially. This includes speeding and cars being used without the correct documentation.

    Action taken:

    The Neighbourhood team have been proactively patrolling at different times of the day as well as dealing robustly when encountering ASB in the area. We are utilising covert and overt opportunities to catch offenders.
