About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in Henley Town Centre and Mill Meadows

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

The team continue to work hard to combat anti-social behaviour in both the town and green spaces in Henley. We are aware of large gatherings of young people in Mill Meadows and hold regular engagement events, ensuring the gatherings are lawful and not anti-social. We are holding regular Have Your Say events in the area to obtain feedback from the public. With Regatta kicking off this week, expect an increased presence from the police to ensure the event and associated revelling does not adversely impact the wider public.

  • Priority:

Retail Crime in Henley Town Centre

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

Due to the hard work of the team earlier this year, retail crime in Henley has dipped dramatically. We patrol the town centre regularly, liaising with retailers and completing 15 minute touch down engagements. We continue to work closely with the Retail Crime team to identify trends, assist those stores most targeted to make it more difficult for criminals to offend there and track down those that cause the most harm to our retail outlets.

    Actioned 01 July 2026

  • Priority:

Theft from Motor Vehicles in Henley

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

Again, another area of success for the team with Henley’s most prolific thief prosecuted for numerous offences recently, leading to a vast reduction in offending locally. We continue to work on a Criminal Behaviour Order for this individual to continue to protect residents from this crime type. The team continue to monitor this type of Neighbourhood Crime closely and welcome feedback from the public on their experiences.
