  • Priority:

Residents continue to report that high speeds around the area continue to be an issue due to the danger it represents to the local community.

    Issued 01 March 2025

    Action taken:

The team will be seeking to speak to local residents regarding which roads are most in need of speed enforcement and action the feedback accordingly. It is currently planned that speed enforcement will be carried out by the neighbourhood team on a monthly basis, by being roadside with speed guns, with the aim to deter speeding and issue tickets to those driving over the speed limit.

  • Priority:

Burglary has been highlighted as a top concern for the residents of Denham and Gerrards cross. Denham and Gerrards cross remain as some of the most targeted areas for burglary in the South Buckinghamshire policing area however we have seen the rates of burglary steadily decreasing in the area compared to last year, due to intensive police burglary operations. The neighbourhood team are focusing their efforts on ensuring the offence continues to be reduced.

    Issued 01 March 2025

    Action taken:

The team have currently been focusing on high visibility proactive patrols in locations where there have been increased reports of burglary. They have also been making sure to frequently engage with the local community in order to distribute burglary prevention advice to as many residents as possible. In light of any recent burglary, the team will carry out a process called cocooning, where they will seek to engage with homes in the proximity of the area the burglary took place, either via door knocks or leaflet drops. The neighbourhood PCSOs also continue to conduct their Have your say events, which gives members of the public the chance to pick up crime prevention material and speak with their local neighbourhood team about any concerns they may have.

If you have any information please report on 101 or online at www. thamesvalley.police.uk.
