About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Anti-social behaviour within the Blue Lagoon, Queensway, MK1 Stadium Shopping (homelessness and begging) and Granby Court

    Issued 13 May 2026

    Action taken:

The Neighbourhood team have discussed the ongoing issues with businesses, residents and the local authority in order to identify those at the root of the problems. We are continuing with patrols in the areas and will aim to increase these in order to locate those involved, thus enabling us to take positive action. A number of police orders have been issued to individuals and we continue to work with our partners to tackle the ongoing issues. A joint agency meeting with MK Safety Partnership and other key stakeholders has been formed to tackle these issues with support from other agencies including the homelessness team, addiction support, mental health teams and other key support agencies. This is to support safeguarding of individuals and ensure that available support has been offered prior to any enforcement actions for ASB.

    Actioned 13 May 2026

  • Priority:

Increase in report of youths engaging in organised disorders linked to school and social media

    Issued 13 May 2026

    Action taken:

The Neighbourhood team have been conducting high visibility patrols around the local areas to identify those involved and provide public reassurance. We have been attending schools and providing assembly inputs and information. We work closely with pastoral support and our Harm Reduction Unit to identify areas of concern. Officers will be completing talks and inputs with local youth groups to provide education and support.

    Actioned 13 May 2026

  • Priority:

Increase in drug related offences reported within Kitchener Drive, Queensway, Bletchley Library, Millward Drive and Granby Court.

    Issued 13 May 2026

    Action taken:

The Neighbourhood team are continuing to conduct high-visibility patrols around the local estates and specified areas, targeting identified hotspots from local intelligence gathering and recent ‘Have your Say’ events. We continue to work with our partners to offer support to individuals to assist with their personal circumstances. There has been an increase in police stop searches in the area resulting in drugs being found and seized. In addition we have completed park tidy and searches of key locations to ensure that any drug items and items which could cause harm have been removed from public areas.

    Actioned 13 May 2026
