About us

    Drug harm reduction and street community related crime and disorder

    Targeting drug related crime in your town through intelligence, enforcement and partnership work.

    Action taken:

    •April 2026, Police have secured a closure order on a property in Lascelles Terrace, Eastbourne which was linked to several anti-social behaviour, disorder and drug related incidents, property closed for three months by the Courts.

    •Continued work alongside partners, and local authorities to address community concerns of rough sleepers along the seafront and pier area.

    •Regular warrants actioned and drug related arrests made throughout the last few months, details of which have and will continue to be published to Sussex Police website and our Eastbourne Police Facebook page.

    •Police led operations, targeting known areas of drug use and drug dealing in particular areas of Redoubt and along Royal Parade.

    •Work alongside local authorities and housing to tackle drug related crime around known addresses causing drug harm in your area.

  • Priority:

    Public place violent crime, and night-time economy related crime and disorder.

    Reducing public place violent crime including VAWG and youth related crime and disorder keeping all communities safe from violence; in swiftly responding to incidents of public based violence, and using policing powers available, from powers of dispersal, to criminal behaviour orders to crackdown on offending.

    Action taken:

    .•Increased patrols during the night-time economy, with partners including Street Pastors each Friday and Saturday evening under Operation Marble extending into areas of Seaside from the Town Centre patrols.

    •Continuing our work alongside partners and support agencies for victims of violent crime, including domestic abuse and VAWG, and to continued awareness raising of support channels advice, and reporting services available to all victims with a number of events held in the last few months, which continue into the Spring/Summer months, please view the EVENTS section for more details.
