About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    To ensure the safety of those using the Town Centre, including residents, shoppers and those using the Night Time Economy

    Increased visibility through Op Spotlight, Project Vigilent and Project Servator. Police are conducting relevant licensing checks at licenced premises. Continued work with our partners, local communities, business premises and design out crime officers.

    To work in partnership with other agencies to reduce ASB in identified residential properties relating to vulnerable persons.

    High visibility patrols and continued address visits. Work with our partners, local communities and design out crime officers.
    CPT Officers are managing each case and working with Partners to ensure regilar visits and support given to occupants and robust action is taking against those offenders exploiting them

    Target the most prolific offenders, including those committing ASB and theft from shop offences in the Town Centre, using preventative orders and Op Proxy

    Preventative Orders will continue to be applied for and utlised to manage persistent offending. Police will continue to work with partners to see reductions in ASB and other offences.
