About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Vehicle crime (driving standards and parking).

    Issued 03 March 2026

    Action taken:

Numerous parking operations have been carried out, and will continue to be carried out, by local officers in partnership with the Local Authority. New CCTV cameras have been installed to help to identify those committing traffic offences and the Road Crime Team have been deployed for traffic operations identifying offending vehicles using intelligence and ANPR. Where appropriate, fixed penalty notices have been issued, and some drivers have been reported for summons and/or their vehicles seized.

    Actioned 03 June 2026

  • Priority:

    Traffic issues- Off road bikes

    Issued 03 March 2026

    Action taken:

We are aware of the on going concerns raised by residents and members of the community about the use of off road bikes. As a result, our road crime team will continue to spend time in the areas. We have arranged targets operations using a variety of resources including our road crime team, Staffs off road bikes, drones and the fixed wing plane. This has been on going through the summer. This has also involved local officers engaging with petrol stations schools and joint visits with local housing officers to address problem properties.

    Actioned 06 June 2026

  • Priority:

    ASB - Drugs

    Issued 03 March 2026

    Action taken:

Following feedback from local residents, drug use and drug dealing have been identified as ongoing concerns within the area. In response, local neighbourhood officers will increase their visibility through regular foot patrols and engagement with the community. Officers will take proactive and positive action against those involved in drug-related activity, working to deter offending and reduce the impact these issues have on local residents. Our aim is to create a safer, more secure environment for everyone living and working in the area.
