About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Continuing to prevent and disrupt vehicle crime is a priority, specifically but not exclusively in Cheslyn Hay and Great Wyrley where more detailed issues have been highlighted.

    Action taken:

    Local officers are actively tackling vehicle crime by working alongside key specialists in criminal investigations, forensics, roads policing team, and in coordination with neighbouring policing teams and police forces. We are conducting both overt and covert operations to disrupt offending and bring offenders to justice.

  • Priority:

    Preventing and disrupting Drugs offences is a priority for our local officers.

    Action taken:

    Local officers are targeting drug dealers, including the harms associated with the exploitation of vulnerable people and County Lines drug dealing. By actively developing community intelligence and conducting overt and covert policing activity alongside specialist proactive units.

    Reducing ASB and preventing re-offending.

    Action taken:

    Local officers will continue to target the drug dealers who are operating in the area. Intelligence will continued to be developed and positive action taken.

    To reduce Illegal parking in the area.

    Action taken:

    Officers will be patrolling the locations reported to ensure that illegal parking is reduced. Partnership work will also review current parking restrictions.

    Anti-social behaviour (ASB) in the park, especially with e-scooters and e-bikes

    Action taken:

    We have arranged for targeted operations supported by our central resources and will continue to focus in these areas leading up to the summer. Positive action will be taken and communities are encouraged to email in with any details of names of those causing the issues.
