About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Increased calls from local residents, business owner & visitors to Cortonwood Retail Park, regarding nuisance vehicle issues at locality.
    Regular car meets, Vehicles driven in an Antisocial-manner

    Regular directed patrols, both uniform & plain clothes officers are taking place on a daily basis.
    Regular directed patrols from Roads Policing Team.
    Neighbourhood Team taking a multi-agency approach & working closely with business & land owners, to help alleviate this issues

    Increased calls from business owners & visitors to McDonalds & Asda in regard to Youth related Anti-social Behaviour around locality.
    Increased calls in relation to person/s begging at both stores.

    Directed daily patrols both uniformed & plane clothes officers Neighbourhood Team to work alongside business owners to help reduce issues in locality.
    NPT to ID person/s causing issues in area.
    Multi-agency working to help reduce the impact of behaviour

  • Priority:

    During warmer weather and anual school holidays we see an increase in young persons and adult attending open water areas and swimming, sometimes without the proper guidence and water safety measures in places,
    This includes Lakes, Canals, Boating Locks and other open water venues.

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

    Daily patrols of Open Water localities includeing Manvers Lake, Thrybergh Country Park, localised Canal & Locks.
    Multiagency working alongside SY Fire and other water safety organisations.
