About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    Drug dealing at Greenpark/Lanelay Rise/Ely Valley Road/Danygraig Crescent. There are constant issues with people from three saints attending at Greenpark, Lanelay Rise, Ely Valley Road and Danygraig Crescent. These people are drug dealing and using drugs in plain sight of the public.

    We will increase patrols in known drug hotspots, work with local communities to gather intelligence, and collaborate with support services to address underlying issues. Using targeted enforcement and preventative measures, we aim to disrupt illegal activities, safeguard vulnerable individuals, and enhance overall community safety. Tackling drug-related crime remains a priority.

    Shoplifting at Talbot Green Retail Park. There has been an increase shoplifting and aggressive behaviour toward staff from shoplifters.

    Action taken:

    We will increase patrols, engage with staff to improve security measures, and collaborate with local businesses to identify repeat offenders. By using CCTV and intelligence-led policing, we’ll deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to the community. Prevention and swift action will be our priority in tackling shoplifting.

    Street drinking at Talbot Green Bus Station. Residents have reported there are regular issues at talbot green bus station, involving residents of the three saints attending and getting drunk, causing ASB in the area.

    We will step up patrols in affected areas, engage with those involved to promote responsible behaviour, and work with local authorities to enforce restrictions on public drinking. Partnering with community groups, we’ll provide support for vulnerable individuals and encourage positive social spaces. Our aim is to reduce disruption and enhance public safety.
