    Tackle anti-social behaviour at Manor Walks Shopping Centre, Cramlington

    Action taken:

    Partnership work between police and town council has seen a successful bid for funding to secure extra police patrols in the area. Many of the young people involved in the anti-social behaviour have been identified and letters sent to their homes. Proactive patrols carried out by police and Community Safety Officers take place regularly, as well as visits to local schools by the neighbourhood team to educate young people on anti-social behaviour whilst also engaging directly with the young people involved.

    Action taken:

    Address ongoing issues with motorcycle disorder around Cramlington, Holywell (particularly around the dene) and New Hartley, using a range of tactics. Work to be undertaken with local authority to prevent vehicle-related anti-social behaviour.

  • Priority:

    Tackle anti-social behaviour at the Brockwell Centre, Cramlington. Local residents and shopkeepers have made multiple reports to police reporting the young people being loud, intimidating customers and riding pedal cycles on the footpaths.

    Action taken:

    Partnership work between police and town council has seen a successful bid for funding to secure top of the range CCTV cameras and a security package from Assetwatch private security. In addition, we've taken the following actions: A police licensing officer has carried out visits to Brockwell Pub. The young people responsible have been identified and ASB letters sent to their homes. Proactive patrols carried out by police and Community Safety Officers. Visits to local schools by neighbourhood teams to educate young people on anti-social behaviour whilst also engaging directly with the young people involved.
