  • Priority:

    Anti-social Behaviour

    Issued 09 October 2026

    Action taken:

We have issued 15 Yellow cards for ASB across our districting ranging from youths causing annoyance to adults causing neighbour issues. Anti-social behaviour letters have been issued to several persons residing in Tywyn, Barmouth and Blaenau Ffestiniog. Various individuals have been issued with Community Protection Warning Notices in Dolgellau, Blaenau and Barmouth. As a result, there have not been other ASB incidents reported at these locations which has restored trust and confidence for the community. There have also been several high-profile events in the Dolgellau and Trawsfynydd where our team tackled several incidents of ASB and confiscated a large amount of alcohol from underage drinkers. This helped ensure the events ran without any problems and helped prevent and deter any crime taking place. ASB questionnaires have been distributed in Corris to understand any antisocial behaviour or issues affecting these communities so we can seek to resolve. Three individuals have been summoned to court regarding breaches of their Community Protection Notices in Blaenau. These persons are causing regular harm in the communities. NPT officers are now having regular meet ups with our local housing providers to further strengthen community working in tackling anti-social behaviour in our areas. Regular patrols have been undertaken in all areas, including holiday hotspots, to deter antisocial behaviour. Numerous Acceptable Behaviour Contracts have been issued in Porthmadog and Pwllheli areas, including Community Protection Warning Notices with a view of intercepting antisocial behaviour. Further work is ongoing with our ASB officer.

  • Priority:

    Drugs

    Issued 09 October 2026

    Action taken:

We conducted a controlled drugs warrant at an address in Blaenau Ffestiniog following intelligence received that has helped disrupt activities in the area. We have assisted trading standards with a warrant at a business property in Blaenau Ffestiniog that was targeting offences surrounding counterfeit goods, money laundering, and fraud. As a result, we have gained valuable intelligence in tackling the drugs supply in the area. We have had several action days with Neighbourhood officers out looking to target known individuals in the Dolgellau area. This involved numerous persons being stop searched. As a result of this proactivity, we now have several persons in the district released under investigation for drugs supply offences. An increasing number of intelligence logs have been submitted. The NPT team have conducted numerous drug drive stops and stop searches resulting in findings of possession of cannabis. Two addresses were visited with housing due to cuckooing related concerns in Barmouth and Bala. These visits will continue to protect any vulnerable persons in our communities are safeguarded. Further ensuring there is no drug taking or drugs supply offences taking place at these addresses. A walkaround was conducted with Adra housing wardens to understand community concerns in various locations. Ongoing partnerships working is ongoing here.

  • Priority:

    Speeding

    Issued 09 October 2026

    Action taken:

PCSOs have conducted speed enforcement exercises in the 20 mph speed limits district wide including the Harlech, Llanbedr, Barmouth , Tywyn and Bala areas. It was positive to see a high rate of compliance for all these areas. The dedicated GO SAFE team have come out to the designated sites where we have received complaints and received positive feedback from our communities. Further speed checks conducted in the Tywyn and surrounding areas after being informed by the local town council that members of the community have raised concerns about speeding in certain areas. Further speed checks have been completed by PCSOs in Porthmadog area. PS 3415 and PC 1765 are now trained on the speed laser to enforce speeding offences within the Gwynedd South area. PC 3892 and PC 3877 are due to be trained shortly to further assist with enforcing in problem areas. Section 59 notices have been issued by the NPT team due to antisocial driving in the Fairbourne and Arthog areas. This has helped ease concerns of anti-social driving in these areas.
