About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

We work with the community and local partners, as well as looking at our own data to come up with priorities that we will have for Watton for the next three months: Tackling rural crime and antisocial behaviour across Watton

    Issued 02 February 2026

    Action taken:

Lots of patrols around Watton high street enforcing the PSPO – dealing with street drinkers and starting the anti-social behaviour staged intervention process.
Across Watton and the surrounding villages we’ve seen a spike in rural crime so we have increased visible patrols on the major roads. This has also seen an increase in the number of traffic offences spotted – with multiple cars seized for having no insurance. We are working with local rural businesses to make sure that they know how to report suspicious incidents and what kind of thing to be on the look out for.

    Actioned 22 April 2026

  • Priority:

We work with the community and local partners, as well as looking at our own data to come up with the priority that we will have for Watton for the next three months:
Tackling youth and vehicle related anti-social behaviour
    Tackling rural and acquisitive crime

    Issued 01 May 2026

    Action taken:

We've been focussing on tackling anti-social behaviour in Watton with regular patrols of the town centre. This includes working on the PSPO and stopping street drinkers. We carry out regular patrols across the area and have got out to the villages as often as possible too.
We know that the summer break can see an increase in youth ASB so we'll be out in the daytimes and evenings where we can to keep a lid on this - please keep reporting any issues to us either via 101 or online.

    Actioned 15 July 2026
