About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

We work with the community and local partners, as well as looking at our own data to come up with the priority that we will have for Norwich East for the next three months:
Operation Focus patrols in areas identified for anti-social behaviour and serious violence.

    Issued 20 March 2026

    Action taken:

To address this priority, we have:

    - Carried out patrols across Norwich North areas, focusing on our hotspot areas where see more anti-social behaviour.
    - Carried out neighbourhood meetings to speak to the public and local people around any local concerns.
    - Our partnership and neighbourhood teams are in regular contact with local businesses and partners to understand issues in the hotspot areas.
    - Officers continue to obtain court orders such as CBO’s for individuals who continue to cause issues in the Norwich North area.

We encourage you to report any anti-social behaviour by reporting on the Norfolk Police website.

    Actioned 21 May 2026

  • Priority:

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) with a focus on:
    - Drug dealing and associated ASB in Mile Cross
    - ASB on Britannia Road and surrounding areas

    Issued 17 June 2026

    Action taken:

We have conducted recent patrols of Andersons Meadow due to reports of ASB and drug dealing - a small bag of cannabis was recovered.

We encourage you to report anti-social behaviour to us either by reporting on the Norfolk Police website, or by calling 101.

    Actioned 26 June 2026
