  • Priority:

We work with the community and local partners, while also looking at our own data, to come up with priorities for North Walsham for the next three months. These are currently:
Tackling antisocial behaviour, drug misuse and retail theft.

    Issued 12 March 2026

    Action taken:

An individual was arrested following numerous reports of theft and ASB. She is on police bail and has been issued a Community Protection Warning.

An man was arrested for antisocial/disorderly behaviour and is currently on police bail.

High-visibility reassurance patrols and engagement with various shops around crime prevention have also been conducted.

Foot patrols of new Sunday market and Thursday market in town centre.

    E-scooter seized.

Seizure of cannabis from young male.

Stop search and arrest of male on suspicion of firearms possession.

Community Protection Warning issued to female following reports of theft and antisocial behaviour.

Acceptable Behaviour Agreement issued in relation to antisocial behaviour after visit to Sunny Corner with Victory Homes partners.

Three Community Resolutions issued after incidents of cannabis possession.

A shoplifter was arrested and charged for numerous thefts from shops in North Walsham.

Banning letters issued to individuals in relation to antisocial behaviour in library.

We have visited School Close, Knapton, with Victory Homes, due to reports to police and Victory of ASB, children fighting and parents arguing in the street. Acceptable Behaviour Contracts were issues and crime prevention was discussed with several residents.

Officers attended the Community Forum on Teams and numerous school staff and members of Childrens Services, Matthew Project and Benjamin Foundation spoken to about issues with ASB in the area.
