About us

    We work with the community and local partners, as well as looking at our own data to come up with the priority that we will have for Hellesdon and Horsford for the next three months:
    Road Safety across Broadland

    Action taken:

    We’ve been gathering intel in relation to an e-scooter and a pedal cycle adapted to use a petrol engine in the Horsford area.

    On the 27 April we attended a Brownies meeting in Spixworth, where we had discussions around road safety and staying safe.

    Officers seized an illegal e-bike from a high school, following its use by a pupil on the school site.

    We’ve sent letters sent to drivers parked on, or near, the junction of City View Road and Coronation Road in Hellesdon.

    Following some anti-social behaviour on bridge two along the A1270 we’ve carried out several patrols on the bridge and engaged with residents and those using the path.

    We’ve continued to conduct patrols of schools during key drop off and pick up times.

    Action taken:

    Residents in Horsford have recently made us aware of an illegally adapted pedal cycle being driven around the village by a young person, displaying some anti-social behaviour.
    Officers have now managed to seize the bicycle, which had a petrol motor attached to it, and the boy and his family have been spoken to.

    Following anti-social behaviour at a fast food premises on Boundary road we have issued a letter to the individual.

    Officers have been carrying out regular patrols at Hellesdon Recreation Ground, Spixworth Village Hall, Horsford Recreation Ground.

    Patrols of bridges along the A1270, including off the Horsford (Dog Lane) bridge and Buxton road bridge following reports of ASB.

    Regular patrols of the A1270 from Petans roundabout to Fir Covert Road on a weekend evening following reports of ASB vehicle use.
