About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

We work with the community and local partners, while also looking at our own data, to come up with priorities for Cobholm and Southtown for the next three months. These are currently Tackling anti-social behaviour - focusing on alcohol/drug concerns and vehicle misuse.

    Issued 24 February 2026

    Action taken:

We’ve conducted regular high-visibility patrols around Herbert Barnes Park and the Rugby Club in response to ongoing antisocial behaviour involving off-road motorbikes. We’ve spoken to dog walkers, families, and other park users to gather information, offer reassurance, and in one instance gave words of advice to the parent of a child seen riding an electric motorbike in the park.

We’ve spoken to local councillors and residents, encouraging the reporting of incidents to help build a clearer intelligence picture.

Regular patrols in and around the retail parks, offering reassurance to businesses and members of the public, after homeless individuals spoken to about aggressive begging.

Enquiries made and landlords spoken to to secure old Pizza Hut building after repeated criminal damage.

Antisocial behaviour patrols around the stairwells on Norman Lane following reports. A security fault reported with the doors and signage placed.

    Actioned 01 May 2026

  • Priority:

We work with the community and local partners, while also looking at our own data, to come up with priorities for the Cobholm area for the next three months. This is currently: Tackling anti-social behaviour, with a focus on alleyways and off-road bikes in parks and residential areas

    Issued 28 May 2026

    Action taken:

Updates on actions taken to address this priority will be posted here in due course.

    Actioned 28 May 2026
