    Tackling Anti-Social Use of E-Bikes and Mopeds in Southfield - Our aim:
    To reduce anti-social behaviour and improve safety, ensuring Southfield’s streets and public spaces are safe for everyone to use.

    Action taken:

    Your local policing team is taking action to address the anti-social and unsafe use of e-bikes and mopeds across Southfield ward. We recognise the concerns this behaviour causes, including risks to pedestrians, nuisance riding, and links to wider criminal activity.

    What we are doing:
    High-visibility patrols: Officers are targeting hotspot areas to deter unsafe and anti-social riding, particularly in parks, pavements, and residential streets.
    Enforcement activity: We are using police powers to stop riders, seize vehicles where appropriate, and take action against those riding illegally or dangerously.
    Targeting repeat offenders: We are identifying individuals involved in persistent anti-social behaviour and taking robust action to prevent further offences.
    Working with partners: We are collaborating with the local council, housing, and transport partners to address problem locations and improve safety measures.
    Community engagement: Officers are speaking with residents to understand concerns and gather information to better target our activity.

    To reduce shoplifting, protect local businesses, and ensure Southfield remains a safe and thriving place to work and shop.

    Your local policing team has made tackling shoplifting a priority in Southfield. We understand the impact retail crime has on local businesses, staff, and the wider community, and we are committed to taking strong and visible action.

    What we are doing:
    Targeted patrols: Officers are carrying out high-visibility and plain-clothed patrols in and around local shops to deter offending and reassure businesses.
    Focusing on offenders: We are identifying and taking action against repeat offenders and those involved in organised retail crime.
    Working with businesses: We are building strong relationships with local retailers, sharing crime prevention advice, and encouraging prompt reporting of incidents.
    Using enforcement powers: We are pursuing offenders through arrests, community resolutions, and court outcomes where appropriate.
    Partnership approach: We are working with the council and other agencies to address underlying issues and reduce reoffending.

    What we are doing:
    High-visibility patrols: Officers are regularly patrolling the park at key times to deter anti-social behaviour and provide reassurance to visitors.
    Targeted enforcement: We are identifying individuals responsible for repeated ASB and taking appropriate enforcement action where necessary.
    Partnership working: We are working closely with the local council, park services, and community partners to address ongoing issues and improve the environment.
    Community engagement: Officers are speaking with park users and local residents to understand concerns and gather information to help target our activity, utilise Met Engage.
    Preventative action: Where appropriate, we are using early intervention measures and working with support services to prevent behaviour from escalating.
