About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Dangerous use of E-Bikes/Pedal Cycles in areas of large foot traffic specifically areas along the Fulham road and surrounding environments including Chelsea and Westminster Hospital

    Burglary - visiting victims of burglary and neighbouring properties to highlight the offence in the area and offer security advice and deploy officers both in full uniform and plain clothes to specific areas using crime mapping to predict hotspots

    Being Highly visible in predicted areas during peak times for offending
    officers to provide local residents with reassurance should a burglary occur by using the cocooning method
    officer crime prevention advice at the Bi weekly crime prevention stand
    set up intelligence lead operations in any identified areas

    Theft of and Theft from Motor Vehicle - Conduct high visibility patrols in hotspot areas known where these offences occur and during peak hours to deter criminal activity. Utilising CCTV to to capture suspect movements, proactive use of stop and search powers on suspects and vehicles, run local events in the community to highlight offences

    Crime prevention stand bi weekly outside Chelsea Town Hall to speak with the local community about offences in the area
    Arrange with the Safer Neighbourhood team to conduct day time patrols in areas where offences occur - mainly the sideroads close to shopping areas
    speaking with locals and tourists specifically regarding leaving items on display inside their motor vehicle
    reviewing crime trends and keeping abreast of incidents that have occurred when officers are both on and off duty
