About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    PMP/26701/25 VAWG- Ward Priority with focus VAWG around the alleyway for Norbury Hall Park around the Tennis Club and Little Hand Nursery.

    Action taken:

    To tackle ongoing concerns from women and girls within the community in Norbury and Pollards Hill seeking views from our community. Encouraging reporting and engagement.
    Delivering community engagements such as Safety Talks events along with partner organisations, offering support and sessions for women and girls through walk-in sessions with the women officers.
    To proactively patrol Norbury & Pollards Hill Ward with focus on locations where concerns have been raised, to reduce violence.
    We want to ensure that women feel able to come forward and that they feel well supported when they do so.
    Distribute leaflets in key locations across affected areas.

    Shoplifting
    Target Shoplifters and repeat offenders in COOP and local business within Norbury and Pollards Hill with a focus on London Road.

    Action taken:

    Uniformed and plain clothed proactive policing operations to tackle offending. Meetings with business providing crime prevention advise. Identify, manage, and actively pursue prolific offenders, utilising appropriate legislative tools including Criminal Behaviour Orders(CBO), Community Protection Warnings (CPW), and Community Protection Notices (CPN).
    Ensure a robust approach to enforcement by securing charges wherever evidential thresholds are met, holding offenders accountable and reducing reoffending.

    Action taken:

    Reducing vehicle related ASB through targeted patrol in hot spots around the ward, using data led intelligence to increase results. Combat vehicle related offences such as cycling and scooters on the pavement and speeding.
    Hi- vis and plain clothes operation issuing Traffic Offence Reports for the people cycling on the pavement and seize / report people for using scooters. ( OP KATLA)
    Delivering updates to the community through Met Engage.
