    Violent Crime

    Violent Crime committed on Kilburn High Road and the surrounding areas. Working with Kilburn (NW) Safer Neighbourhood Team and Camden Council to prevent and drive offences of this nature down.

    Action taken:

    Your Kilburn Safer Neighbourhood Team have focussed their hi-visibility patrols on Kilburn High Road, utilising intelligence led stop and search to target and deter offenders. Kilburn SNT have also obtained additional funding to conduct additional hi-visibility mobile and foot patrols of Kilburn High Road under the banner of Op Jenga. This funding has led to 12 additional deployments resulting in 10 arrests, 12 searches, 8 drug seizures and 2 weapon seizures. Kilburn SNT have also conducted multiple live facial recognition operations on Kilburn High Road, resulting in 15 arrests.

    High volume of Anti-social behaviour linked to the homeless encampment in Rowley Way.

    Action taken:

    Officers from Kilburn SNT have frequently attended the encampment and identified offenders, resulting in numerous arrests being made. Kilburn SNT have also worked in partnership with Camden Council which has led to the encampment being cleared. Officers are currently conducting patrols of nearby areas in order to identify locations where the occupants could have dispersed to. We have identified multiple nearby vacant properties which have been broken into and worked in collaboration with Camden Council to secure them.

    Update - The main encampment on Rowley Way has been removed and the occupants linked to this encampment have dispersed from the area. PMP has been closed.

    Concerns were raised by residents at our panel meeting in relation to drug related ASB at Kilburn Grange Park.

    Action taken:

    Officers from Kilburn Safer Neighbourhood Team have conducted numerous patrols of Kilburn Grange Park and utilised intelligence led stop and search tactics to identify and deter offenders. This activity has led to numerous drug seizures and arrests. Officers have also worked closely with Camden Council and other partners to identify those causing Anti-social behaviour in the park and issue them with ASB warning letters. Current joint work with Camden Council is focussing on the removal of a small homeless encampment in Kilburn Grange Park.
