About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Burglary
Burglary levels across the ward have remained stable. This is largely attributed to the identification and management of persistent offenders, many of whom are currently either:
    • In custody, or
    • Subject to Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBOs)
The SNT continues to review all reported burglary offences to identify suspects, detect emerging trends, and implement appropriate responses.
    Key actions undertaken include:
    • Conducting reassurance visits to victims
    • Completing house-to-house enquiries to identify witnesses
    • Collecting and reviewing CCTV footage to support investigations
    • Providing crime prevention advice to residents
Victim reassurance remains a key priority, alongside evidence gathering and investigative support.
Over the next three months, the team will:
    • Monitor burglary trends and patterns closely
    • Continue comprehensive victim reassurance visits
    • Increase patrols in areas identified as higher risk
Prioritise the collection and analysis of CCTV and other evidential opportunities

    Issued 08 June 2026

    Action taken:

Provide both uniformed and plain clothes patrols, identify individuals who have been identified as suspects for burglaries and disrupt them. Engage with them and if any offences committed to arrest them.
Officers actively seeking injunctions and Community Protection notices vs worse offenders.
Crime prevention stalls to target harden the area.
Op Terminos has also started targetting Burglary

Op Terminos operations and patrols continue

    Actioned 08 June 2026

  • Priority:

    Anti-Social Behaviour and Drug Activity
Anti-social behaviour (ASB) and drug-related activity remain ongoing concerns within the ward. Key areas where incidents have been reported include:
    • Chichele Road
    • Anson Road
    • Dartmouth Road, Teignmouth Road, and Dawlish Road
    • Residential streets off Anson Road near Gladstone Park
The SNT will continue to carry out targeted patrols, both overt and covert, to disrupt drug use and supply. Officers will act on intelligence and information provided by the community to identify those responsible and take appropriate action.
A further location of concern is Costa Coffee on Cricklewood Broadway, which continues to be monitored and regularly patrolled. This location forms part of a wider action plan linked to Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) initiatives.
The team maintains strong partnership working with:
    • The local authority
    • St Mungo’s
    • VIA
This collaborative approach supports both enforcement and safeguarding, ensuring that vulnerable individuals affected by substance misuse are provided with appropriate support.
Over the next three months, the SNT will:
    • Maintain a visible presence in identified hotspot areas
    • Continue intelligence gathering and information sharing
    • Work proactively to reduce ASB and drug-related harm

    Issued 08 June 2026

    Action taken:

Work with local authority and charities such as St Mungo's to help house the drug users and provide any safeguarding if necessary.
This is also part of Op TERMINOS patrols.

    Actioned 08 June 2026
