    Local Police are aiming to reduce burglaries around the Loughborough East beat.

    Action taken:

    Burglary can have a significant impact on victims, affecting not only property but also feelings of safety and wellbeing. To tackle this, officers are carrying out increased patrols in hotspot areas, providing crime prevention advice, and working with partners and the community to identify and disrupt offenders.

    Update: Burglaries have reduced by 50% over the last 28 days, showing positive results from ongoing policing activity. Recent arrests include:

    · A male wanted for four burglaries across the area.

    · A male arrested after being found with a crowbar and weapons, suspected of intending to commit offences.

    · Two males arrested in connection with a burglary on the beat who are currently on bail.

    What this means for residents: Officers will continue focused patrols in affected areas to maintain this reduction and provide reassurance to the community. Residents are encouraged to keep homes secure and report suspicious activity.

    Police are developing and targeting people within the area that are drug dealing, exploiting vulnerable people by cuckooing addresses and causing anti-social behaviour from this type of crime.

    fficers continue to use intelligence-led policing to identify offenders, safeguard vulnerable residents, and work with partner agencies to tackle drug-related crime. Community information remains vital in helping us identify those involved.

    Update: During the last month, officers have conducted welfare visits to several vulnerable individuals believed to be at risk of cuckooing. Two addresses were identified as key concerns, and officers arrested a number of males found using these properties for criminal purposes. We have also arrested a number of persons from Moor Lane and Charnwood Water seizing class a drugs and weapons.

    What this means for residents: Tackling cuckooing helps protect vulnerable members of the community, reduces anti-social behaviour, and improves neighbourhood safety. We encourage anyone with information about drug activity or exploitation to continue reporting it to police.

    Police aim to tackle different elements of vehicles crime such as theft, TWOC and ASB caused by vehicles

    Action taken:

    Dedicated overt and covert patrols are taking place across the beat, supported by specialist units including traffic officers and dog handlers. Targeted operations aim to deter offenders, disrupt criminal activity, and improve road safety.

    Update: During the last month, officers conducted a road safety operation focused on offences regularly reported by local residents. This resulted in:

    · Several traffic offence reports being issued.

    · Multiple vehicles being seized.

    · Stop searches of vehicles linked to suspected drug-related activity.

    What this means for residents: These operations help make local roads safer, reduce anti-social driving, and disrupt criminality linked to vehicle use.
