About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Tackling drug supply and cultivation – officers will be out working with the community and partner agencies to deter drug use and supply on the beat area, visible patrols will be conducted, and any report of drugs will be acted upon using appropriate policing powers.

    Issued 01 October 2026

    Action taken:

A teenager was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs earlier this week. He has been released under investigations while further investigation takes place.

    Actioned 09 October 2026

  • Priority:

Tackling Rogue Traders – as the winter approaches there is often an increase in reports of rogue traders trying to take advantage of vulnerable people, officers will be out conducting visible patrols in areas where there have been previous reports and will be going door to door to engage, educate and advise on ways to deter and combat this.

    Issued 01 October 2026

    Action taken:

This is a new priority for this month. Come back next month for an update on what we have done.

    Actioned 01 October 2026

  • Priority:

Tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) – with key celebrations set to take place in the last quarter of the year namely Diwali, Halloween and Bonfire Night, there is often an increase in the reports of ASB. Officers will be out on visible patrols to deter and prevent issues and to ensure that everyone celebrates and enjoys these events safely, work will also be done with local schools to educate young people on best practices during the celebrations.

    Issued 01 October 2026

    Action taken:

This is a new priority for this month. Come back next month for an update on what we have done.
