About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Anti-social Behaviour (including shoplifting), Op Prosper (Clear Hold Build), Road Safety

    Issued 02 October 2026

    Action taken:

We are tackling antisocial behaviour with high visibility foot patrols on evening shifts, and officers continue to work hard to identify problem youths with both engagement and enforcement.

We are reintroducing our Shoplifting operation, Op Robin. This will begin imminently and continue on the run up to Christmas.

Several drugs warrants have been executed and engagement with schools and religious settings are ongoing.

Working with Lancashire Road Safety Partnerships, we have increased enforcement on certain local roads with ongoing issues. We are planing a 5 week long road traffic operation, but as you'll apprecaite, we cannot publish any further details at this stage

    Actioned 31 December 2026

  • Priority:

    ASB link to Bonfire night

    Issued 02 October 2026

    Action taken:

Now that the nights are getting darker and as we approach bonfire night Operation Bright Sparks has commenced.

We will be working with partner agencing (including the fire service) to education the children of Pendle in the dangers of fireworks and the law.

We will patrolling hotspot areas where we know fireworks have been used previously. We will be acting on intellegnce provided by members of the pubic to target these areas.

Engagement is the first step in tackling ASB – and when this fails the police will utilise other methods where appropriate such as –
    Taking home to parents
    Youth Referrals
    Stop Searches
    Arrest
This is a team effort and all of Pendle Neighbourhood are to be involved targeting these areas

    Actioned 08 November 2026
