About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

  • Priority:

    Road safety issues.

    Issued 15 July 2026

    Action taken:

Road safety remains a priority for PC Crush, who has been carrying out targeted patrols and enforcement activity in response to concerns raised by residents. He has issued two Section 59 warnings to drivers using vehicles in an antisocial or careless manner. A Section 59 warning allows police to seize a vehicle if it is involved in similar behaviour again within 12 months. Officers have also stopped and seized vehicles being driven without insurance, issued traffic offence reports, and made arrests for drink-driving and drug-driving offences. Residents are encouraged to report road safety concerns through local community meetings or My Community Voice, helping officers target patrols and take action where it is needed most.

  • Priority:

    Fly tipping.

    Issued 15 July 2026

    Action taken:

PC Crush continues to tackle fly-tipping in rural parts of the area through regular patrols and by gathering information about locations that are repeatedly targeted. He is also working with the Rural Task Force to engage with residents and better understand local concerns, helping to identify problem areas and support enforcement activity. Information from the public plays a key role in tackling fly-tipping, and residents are encouraged to report concerns through local community meetings or My Community Voice so officers can focus their efforts where they are needed most.

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

    Issued 15 July 2026

    Action taken:

PC Crush continues to tackle antisocial behaviour across the area through targeted patrols and enforcement activity. A large number of e-scooters have been seized in recent months, and officers have also taken action against nuisance vehicle use following reports from residents. This included the seizure of a vehicle and the issuing of a Community Protection Warning to a young person. A Community Protection Warning is a formal warning used to address behaviour that is having a negative impact on the local community. PC Crush is also aware of concerns about motorbikes being ridden antisocially and is carrying out work to identify those responsible, with further enforcement activity planned. Residents are encouraged to report concerns through local community meetings or My Community Voice, helping officers target patrols and take action where it is needed most.
