About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

  • Priority:

    Fly tipping.

    Issued 13 April 2026

    Action taken:

PC Divers has worked closely with Swale Borough Council to support investigations into fly-tipping and environmental crime, assisting with the gathering of evidence to help identify those responsible.

Proactive patrols continue at known fly-tipping hotspot locations, where officers monitor activity and stop suspicious vehicles where appropriate to carry out checks. This targeted approach helps deter offending, gather intelligence and support enforcement action against those involved in illegal waste disposal.

We will continue to work with partner agencies, respond to information from the community and take action where offences are identified to help protect the local environment and reduce fly-tipping.

    Actioned 06 July 2026

  • Priority:

    Road safety issues.

    Issued 13 April 2026

    Action taken:

We have carried out proactive speed enforcement activity to improve road safety across the area. A number of vehicles were stopped and checked, with appropriate action taken where necessary, including providing advice and taking enforcement action where offences were identified.

While the speeds recorded during these operations were not excessive, this activity helps deter unsafe driving, reinforces the importance of complying with road traffic laws and provides reassurance to residents that road safety remains a priority.

Officers will continue to carry out patrols, speed checks and targeted enforcement activity to address concerns raised by the community and help keep local roads safe for all users.

    Actioned 06 July 2026

  • Priority:

    Nuisance motorcycles.

    Issued 13 April 2026

    Action taken:

We have recently carried out a successful operation targeting the illegal use of off-road motorcycles that have been causing ongoing issues within the community. As a result, a motorcycle was seized and will be destroyed.

This action demonstrates our continued commitment to tackling antisocial behaviour and taking robust enforcement action against those who use vehicles illegally. Officers will continue to carry out proactive patrols, targeted operations and enforcement activity to deter nuisance riding, improve safety and provide reassurance to local residents.
