About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    Action taken:

    Officers have carried out search warrants in Strood (legal permission to search properties), targeting addresses linked to drug dealing.

    This work has led to arrests and the seizure of drugs, including a large quantity of amphetamine. Further searches resulted in additional arrests and drugs being taken off the streets.

    These actions help disrupt drug activity and make the community safer.

    E‑scooters and e‑bikes are a key concern for many residents.

    The Community Safety Unit is running operations across Medway to tackle unsafe and illegal use, seizing vehicles where necessary.

    Enforcement is focused in areas such as Strood High Street, where a zero‑tolerance approach is in place. This means all offences are dealt with, with regular seizures of e‑scooters and e‑bikes.
