About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Action taken:

    Officers continue to maintain a visible presence in the area through regular high-visibility patrols, helping to deter crime, provide reassurance to residents and respond to concerns raised by the community. Local neighbourhood officers work closely with residents, businesses and partner organisations to identify issues affecting the area and take appropriate action where necessary.

    The ward is now supported by PC Amelia Brooker and PC Mark Trinder, who have recently taken responsibility for the area. They will be holding regular community surgeries, which will be promoted through My Community Voice (MCV), giving residents the opportunity to discuss local concerns, seek advice and work with officers to address issues affecting their neighbourhood. Through ongoing patrols, community engagement and partnership working, officers remain committed to improving community safety and responding to the issues that matter most to local residents.

    Drug dealing.

    Action taken:

    Officers continue to work proactively to tackle drug-related crime and respond to concerns raised by residents. Recent activity by the Neighbourhood Task Force resulted in the arrest of an individual who was seen acting suspiciously. The individual was found to be in possession of Class A drugs, and further enquiries led to the search of a local address where additional drugs were recovered. The individual was subsequently charged with supplying cocaine and remanded into custody.

    Officers will continue to act on information provided by residents, carry out proactive patrols and work with partner agencies to identify and disrupt those involved in the supply and use of illegal drugs. Through intelligence-led policing and community support, officers remain committed to reducing drug-related crime and improving safety within the local area. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting concerns, as information from the community plays a vital role in helping officers identify offenders and take positive action.
