About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Issued 21 July 2026

    Action taken:

This is a priority for the next 3 months. We have identified this based on feedback from local residents, crime data, and ongoing concerns in the area.

    Actioned 21 July 2026

  • Priority:

    Road safety issues.

    Issued 13 April 2026

    Action taken:

Officers have carried out highly visible speed checks at locations where speeding has been a concern. This work has been supported by speed indicator devices and Community Speedwatch, a scheme where trained local volunteers monitor vehicle speeds and share information with the police.

We are also working with local councils, highways authorities and other partner organisations to look at longer-term measures that could help reduce speeding and improve road safety, such as changes to road layouts, signage and traffic-calming features.

    Actioned 20 July 2026

  • Priority:

    Drug dealing.

    Issued 13 April 2026

    Action taken:

Through a combination of visible neighbourhood policing and information gathered from local residents and partner organisations, officers identified and targeted suspected criminal activity in the area.

Search warrants carried out at 2 addresses resulted in 8 arrests, along with the seizure of drugs and cash. This action highlights our ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related crime, disrupt those involved and protect local communities from the harm it can cause.

    Actioned 20 July 2026

  • Priority:

    Criminal damage.

    Issued 13 April 2026

    Action taken:

We increased police patrols in areas that residents had identified as a concern and reviewed recent reports to better understand local issues. We also worked with partner organisations to support crime prevention measures, including CCTV coverage and improvements to street lighting.

Feedback and concerns raised through My Community Voice – Kent Police's community two-way messaging and engagement service , helped inform this work.

A review of reported incidents found no cases of criminal damage in the locations highlighted through My Community Voice surveys. This suggests that the targeted activity has had a positive impact and helped address residents' concerns.
