    E-scooters/e-bikes.

    Action taken:

    PC Hills has been carrying out regular patrols across the area, both on foot and in marked police vehicles, to provide a visible presence and help keep people safe.

    As part of this activity, he has taken part in an operation which focuses on tackling the illegal use of e‑scooters and e‑bikes. This work has led to a number of unlawfully used e‑scooters being seized and removed. Seized vehicles are destroyed so they cannot be used again.

    Illegal use of e‑scooters and e‑bikes can present a risk to both riders and the public, particularly when used on roads and pavements without meeting legal requirements. Officers take this issue seriously and will continue to carry out targeted patrols and operations to address it.

    This ongoing approach combines visible patrols, enforcement and education to reduce antisocial behaviour and improve safety for the wider community. Residents are encouraged to continue sharing any concerns through local ward surgeries or My Community Voice (an online two-way messaging service used to report issues and receive updates).

    Road safety issues.

    Action taken:

    PC Hills has carried out speed enforcement checks in areas including Palm Bay and North Foreland, using speed‑recording equipment to monitor traffic.

    During these checks, several vehicles were stopped for exceeding the speed limit. This activity supports concerns raised by local residents and confirms that speeding remains an issue in these areas.

    Further operations are planned, combining enforcement with education to improve driver behaviour and reduce speeding. This ongoing approach aims to make roads safer for everyone.

    Residents are encouraged to continue sharing concerns through local ward surgeries or My Community Voice (an online two-way messaging service used to report issues and receive updates).

    Action taken:

    PC Hills is taking a proactive approach to identifying and managing vehicle obstructions across the area.

    During patrols, he regularly assesses how parked or abandoned vehicles may affect pedestrians, road users and access for emergency services. Where issues are identified, he takes appropriate action or refers the matter to the local authority if it falls outside police responsibility.
