About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Antisocial behaviour nuisance youths.

    Issued 21 July 2026

    Action taken:

Officers have maintained a strong high-visibility presence across the ward to deter antisocial behaviour and provide reassurance to residents. Regular engagement has taken place with young people, with the majority found to be behaving responsibly. Where concerns have been identified, officers have used a problem-solving approach through engagement, safeguarding, partnership working and targeted patrols. Additional work has also been undertaken to identify and address emerging issues at an early stage, helping to prevent incidents from escalating and maintaining low levels of antisocial behaviour within the community.

Officers have conducted regular patrols and engagement activity across the ward to address concerns relating to nuisance vehicles and antisocial use of the road network. Patrols have focused on identified hotspots, providing opportunities to engage with road users, gather intelligence and take positive action where necessary. This proactive approach has helped deter offending, improve community confidence and reduce the impact of nuisance vehicles on local residents.
