    Nuisance vehicles.

    Action taken:

    Officers continue to tackle nuisance motorcycles through targeted patrols and enforcement activity in Farningham and across the wider ward. Following concerns about a motorcycle meet on the A20, officers took early action using antisocial behaviour powers to prevent the gatherings from becoming established, helping to reduce nuisance and improve road safety. Officers remain vigilant and continue to monitor the area for any similar activity.

    Local officers also carry out targeted patrols in response to reports of nuisance vehicles and use information provided by residents to identify offenders, build intelligence and support enforcement activity. Through ongoing patrols, community engagement and the use of appropriate road traffic and antisocial behaviour legislation, officers continue to address nuisance vehicle use and improve safety for local residents. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting incidents, as information from the community plays a vital role in helping officers identify those responsible and take positive action.

    Officers continue to monitor and respond to reports of antisocial behaviour at Franks Lane and Westminster Field. The introduction of a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) has provided additional powers to address behaviour that has a negative impact on the community and improve the quality of life for local residents. A PSPO is a legal measure used to tackle persistent antisocial behaviour in a specific area and can place restrictions on activities that cause nuisance or disorder.

    Local officers carry out regular patrols in these areas to provide reassurance, engage with residents and monitor compliance with the PSPO. Where breaches are identified, appropriate enforcement action may be taken. Through ongoing patrols, partnership working and community engagement, officers continue to work to ensure these public spaces remain safe and welcoming for everyone.

    Road safety.

    Action taken:

    Officers continue to address road safety concerns through targeted patrols and enforcement activity in response to concerns raised by residents. Several speed enforcement operations have been carried out, resulting in a number of drivers being stopped for road traffic offences. Officers will continue to carry out patrols and enforcement activity at locations identified through community concerns and local intelligence to improve road safety and reduce offending on local roads.

    Further speed enforcement activity is planned, and residents are encouraged to report dangerous, antisocial or inconsiderate driving. Information provided by the community helps officers identify problem locations and direct patrols where they are needed most. Concerns relating to parking enforcement should generally be reported to the local authority unless a vehicle is causing a dangerous obstruction or presents an immediate risk to other road users.
