About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    Road safety issues.

    Action taken:

    Following reports from local residents, officers have been carrying out road safety patrols across the district. This work includes monitoring speeds, stopping vehicles, and taking action against drivers who break the law, such as speeding, using a mobile phone while driving, or driving in a way that causes danger or nuisance to others. We will continue to patrol locations where concerns have been raised and work with partner organisations to help make our roads safer. Thank you to everyone who reports issues and supports our efforts to keep local communities safe.

    Antisocial behaviour - nuisance.

    Action taken:

    Following reports of antisocial behaviour, officers have carried out high-visibility foot and vehicle patrols in villages where concerns have been raised, both through reports to Kent Police and at local police drop-in sessions. These patrols have provided opportunities to speak with people believed to be involved, offering advice and encouraging positive behaviour, while also providing a visible police presence to help prevent further issues and reassure local communities.

    Nuisance motorcycles.

    Action taken:

    We understand the concerns local residents have raised about antisocial behaviour involving motorcycles and stolen motorbikes. Officers have been carrying out targeted enforcement activity across the area, leading to arrests and the seizure of motorcycles linked to crime and antisocial behaviour. Patrols continue in locations where problems have been reported, using information provided by local people and partner organisations. Alongside enforcement activity, we are working with local authorities, youth services, schools and safeguarding professionals to address the causes of this behaviour and provide support to young people who may be involved. Our aim is not only to deal with those responsible, but also to prevent future offending and reduce harm. We remain committed to taking action against behaviour that causes distress to our communities and would like to thank residents who continue to report incidents and share information.
