About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Supporting and protecting those working within the Oslo Road and Stockholm Road industrial estate

    Issued 26 June 2026

    Action taken:

we have seen an increase in cycle thefts from those working hard within our industrial estates and the large employers who have premises there. We have utilised the skills of our designing out crime officers who provide guidance to premise owners on how to deter theft.
We will be looking to supply safety materials to prevent theft and give safeguarding advice to those involved.
We have a strong working relationship with the businesses on the site and value their support and engagement

    Actioned 01 September 2026

  • Priority:

    Speeding Enforcement James Reckitt Avenue

    Issued 26 June 2026

    Action taken:

Working with our local councillors they have reported residents concerns of vehicles speeding within the James Reckitt Avenue area. We know that everyone should be able to safely enjoy their street without worrying about being put at an increased risk. Councillors have documented vehicles travelling in excess of the speed limit accounting for around 30% of vehicles using the road. We will conduct some speed enforcement and, where appropriate, issue tickets.

    Actioned 01 September 2026

  • Priority:

    Summer Plan

    Issued 01 June 2026

    Action taken:

We know within Holderness we have the wonderful East Park. As we gear up towards summer the use of the park will increase both in the daytime and the evening with lighter nights. We want to ensure that this is not accompanied by an increase in ASB. To combat this officers will be:
    - Engaging in patchwalks with partners
    - Working with the Park Rangers to ensure safety of those involved
    - Combat ASB through enforcement where required
    - Visible patrols

    Actioned 01 September 2026

  • Priority:

    Shop Theft

    Issued 01 June 2026

    Action taken:

Shop theft continues to effect retail premise across the ward both shops and garages. We will continue to work with business to bring offenders to justice

    Actioned 01 September 2026
