About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

    Issues with speeding on Seaton Lane

    Action taken:

    Community Speedwatch has been carried out in area by local PCSO’s – during which 10 vehicles were found to be in excess of the speed limit. Similar incentives planned in the near future.

    Issues with off road bike related nuisance

    Action taken:

    Regular high visibility patrols are conducted in the area. This area is protected by Section 59 of the Police Reform Act which allows officers to seize any vehicle being used in a manner causing alarm, distress or annoyance. Police off-road bikes from our Motorcycle Section have recently conducted an operation in this area with more planned in the near future.
    Please let us know of any locations or persons who own and are seen riding off road bikes in the area.
