  • Priority:

Residents of Coxhoe, Kelloe and Quarrington Hill have identified speeding vehicles and associated anti-social behaviour as key concerns affecting the safety and quality of life within their communities. Excessive vehicle speeds, dangerous driving, vehicle nuisance, and incidents of anti-social behaviour are causing concern for residents, particularly in residential areas, near schools, and on routes frequently used by pedestrians and cyclists.

    Action taken:

Through the PACT process, Durham Constabulary, Durham County Council and local communities will work together to:

Identify locations most affected by speeding and anti-social behaviour.
Conduct targeted speed enforcement and high-visibility patrols in hotspot areas.
Work with local residents to gather intelligence and encourage reporting.
Deliver engagement and education activities aimed at promoting responsible road use and positive community behaviour.
