About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    Youth related anti-social behaviour

    Location:
    Slades Farm / Redhill park

    Issue:
    Youths acting anti-socially within high footfall areas which are frequented by people who simply want to go about their daily business.

    Planned action to tackle this issue:
    • Neighbourhood officers will regularly patrol the area and deal with offenders robustly
    • The Neighbourhood Policing Team will work closely with the local authority’s anti-social behaviour team regarding enforcement action.

    Action taken:

    June Update:
    - Knife crime intervention visits conducted on known youths involved in causing crime and disorder locally in order to educate and deter offending.

    May Update:
    - We have been conducting regular foot patrols of the area. This proactive approach has resulted in multiple stop searches of youths within Slades Farm. We will continue to provide a visible presence into the Summer period.

    April Update:
    - NPT completed High-visibility foot patrols within the SLADES FARM and REDHILL area
    - NPT have stop searched individuals linked to ASB.
    - NPT have seized 2 large knives / offensive weapons
    - NPT executed a positive warrant at an address linked to localised drug dealing and ASB, resulting in a positive disposal.

    March Update:
    - NPT have worked closely with partner agencies to tackle repeat and known offenders, utilising civil orders such as ASBi’s and warning notices.
    - NPT have conducted multiple visits to vulnerable persons who are known to conduct anti-social behaviour/criminality in the area

    - NPT have worked closely with partner agencies to tackle repeat and known offenders, utilising civil orders such as ASBi’s and warning notices.

  • Priority:

    Illegal bike related anti-social behaviour

    Location:
    West Howe and Kinson.

    Issue:
    The use of illegal bikes / scooters which is not only dangerous, but causes alarm to the local communities.

    Planned action to tackle this issue:
    • The Neighbourhood Policing Team will proactively and robustly deal with offenders
    • The Neighbourhood Policing Team will dedicate days of action at hotspot areas, to identify offenders.

    Action taken:

    June Update:
    - NPT have gained closure orders on problem addresses by working closely with partner agencies to tackle repeat and known offenders.

    May Update:
    - The Neighbourhood Policing Team have continued to patrol the areas where illegal bike related anti-social behaviour occurs. As we move into the Summer we will be completing days of action to deal robustly with offenders.

    April Update:
    - NPT completed High-visibility foot patrols within the WEST HOWE and KINSON area following localised gang related incidents
    - NPT have worked with BCP Council ASB team to address ASB being committed by the most prolific offenders
    - NPT have held a Community Contact Point to provide reassurance to the local community
    - NPT have assisted partners in obtaining a closure order for a nuisance premises.

    March Update:
    - Day of action completed involving the use of high visibility policing and plain clothes tactics to disrupt and deter ASB offenders.
    - Home visits conducted on known youths involved in causing crime and disorder locally.
    - NPT have arrested and charged a prolific shoplifter in the area.
    - NPT have assisting in identifying a vulnerable female who was at risk and taking proactive action against the offender, to include their arrest.

    February update:
    - Day of action completed involving the use of high visibility policing and plain clothes tactics to disrupt and deter ASB offenders.
    - Home visits conducted on known youths involved in causing crime and disorder locally.
