Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    1. Anti-social behaviour around the Grampian Way estate
    2. Anti-social behaviour around the Sinfin district centre
    3. Anti-social behaviour around Rocket Park Shakespeare Street and local golf club

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

    1. We will target those involved in the distribution and supply of drugs in our communities. We work closely with the community and our partners to identify those responsible. Take positive action with enforcement. We will actively develop intelligence to identify those involved in the distribution of drugs and enforce appropriately utilising powers under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. We will work with our Community Safety Partnership team by attending meetings and sharing information with our partners on those individuals responsible for committing ASB within our communities looking for a longer term and joined up approached to management of individuals or problem locations. We will carry out joint visits with partners to speak with individuals in the area and minimise offending. Our Youth Engagement Team (YET) will deliver educational inputs within our local schools to raise awareness of the impacts of ASB within communities and the consequences of early entry into the Criminal Justice System from such actions. Youth Engagement Team (YET) to refer individuals identified to diversionary activities. Encourage and educate the Community on how to report drug dealing, via online Digi desk, 101 or Derbyshire Alert.
    2. Our teams will carry out hi visible and plain clothes patrols whilst making regular engagement visits to the businesses at the district centres. Providing reassurance and liaise with the local community through community catch up events, complete Derbyshire talk surveys and messages. Ensure action is taken against prolific offenders causing the most harm to businesses. We will work with our Community Safety Partnership (CSP) to utilise civil powers such as ABC’S community protection warnings and notices, Criminal Behaviour Orders and anti-social behaviour injunctions against those committing repeated offences and instances of ASB.
    3. We will conduct hi-visibility patrols in the area and provide reassurance in the community. We will attend youth engagement sessions delivered by sporting communities weekly at Rocket Park on Wednesdays, 5pm to 6.30pm Ensure communication with schools at appropriate times to ensure parents/public are parking considerately. Increase patrols withing the area, engage with young people involved with anti-social behaviour Work alongside our youth engagement team to deliver inputs in schools educating young people around the impact anti-social behaviour has in the community raise awareness of dangerous or obstructive parking and offer advice where appropriate.
