About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    1.ASB on Arboretum Park- Youth Intervention
    2.Project flex- Reducing ASB on Normanton Roads
    3.Violence against Women and Girls Education and encouragement of reporting

    Action taken:

    1: Anti-Social Behaviour from adults and young people on the park, including but not limited to; climbing on or damaging buildings, setting off fireworks, E-Scooters, littering and youths loitering. Public Space Protection Order in place to disperse. Community Protection Notice Warnings to be explored for relevant individuals.
    2: Project Flex is a joint project between the Police and a number of agencies with the aim of solving long term issues in communities. Normanton Road is a focus, with the team progressing through phases; Arrests of prolific offenders, intervention and support for communities and long term regenerative plans with local authorities.
    3: Education, awareness and encouragement of reporting, in particular Seldom heard communities, or areas where English is not a first language.
