About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area. 

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

    1. Church Street/ Charlotte Street- street drinking, public urination and anti-social Behaviour
    2. Warwick avenue dangerous driving and speeding
    3. Violence against Women and Girls awareness and encouraging reporting.

    Action taken:

    1. Partnership work with Derby City Council to continue to identify ways to prevent and halt the issue.
    2. Community Speedwatch and Crest to be included in monitoring and enforcing on the area. Joint meeting between Derby City Council, Derbyshire Police and community groups to discuss ways to progress.
    3. Further inputs at secondary schools to highlight awareness of VAWG and ways to report. Expanding the community groups through word of mouth and invitations.
