    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

Anti-Social Behaviour: When engaging with the local community we have received reports of ASB around the Town. Your SNT have been conducting High Visibility targeted patrols around these areas at the reported times. Several children have been spoken with recently and warnings have been issues. There has been an increase in children kicking doors and throwing eggs at houses. Please consider home security options like CCTV and if you have any footage that may assist the police please email one of your SNT officers.
Speeding Issues on A6015: Speeding is a big concern in all parts of the local area, but certain locations have been highlighted by residents where we have started to do enforcement with the assistance from the forces Road Safety Team (CREST). Residents have already set up Community Speed watch schemes which are running well and would encourage anyone who is interested in setting up a scheme in their area to email the Speed watch Team. [email protected]
Off Road Motor Bikes: Over the past few months, we have received several reports of off-road motorbikes riding along the restricted byways in New Mills. There are several of these however the majority have been seen near Brook Bottom Road and Rowarth Area. We have been conducting regular high visibility patrols as well as liaising with our off-road motorbike team. If you have any information regarding groups that are travelling into New Mill to ride on these restricted Byways please get in touch.
