Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Off road bikes
    Parking issues
    Speeding
    Anti social Behaviour

    Issued 01 July 2026

    Action taken:

Off-road bikes is a priority across Hadfield, Padfield and Tintwistle following continued concerns from residents about the risk posed to public safety and local open spaces. Officers will be increasing patrols in known hotspot areas and working in partnership with other agencies to tackle this issue, including seizing illegally used bikes where appropriate. We are asking members of the public to report any sightings of these bikes via 101 including as much information as possible so officers can gather intelligence and identify those involved.
Parking issues/ Speeding traffic continue to be an ongoing concern in the area causing frustration for residents and raising safety risks for pedestrians and other road users, particularly around busy locations such as schools and on Station Road. Officers are maintaining regular patrols, engaging with the community and working with partners to address these problems and promote safer, more considerate driving and parking.
Anti-Social Behaviour has been identified as a key local priority for Hadfield, Padfield and Tintwistle over the next 3 months, following feedback and concerns raised by residents. Officers will be dedicating resources to tackling these issues, increasing patrols in affected areas, and working closely with partner agencies and the community to address the root causes. This focused approach aims to reduce incidents, improve reassurance, and create a safer more positive environment for everyone living, working and visiting the area.
