About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Complaints around speeding and manner of driving in a number of rural villages.

Information from members of the public.

Originally raised on 1st December 2025

    Issued 24 June 2026

    Action taken:

This has recently been raised on as ongoing unresolved issue.
Officers are completing regular high-visibility patrols at key times and completing speed checks using calibrated equipment. Those found to be exceeding the speed limit may receive a fine and penalty points. We are also working closely with the safety camera team to ensure they are deployed appropriately.

The local Neighbourhood Policing Team are now also working with a number of local parish councils to tackle the issue with the use of new emerging technology.

We continue to receive reports across the area and are actively looking at opportunities for both enforcement and longer term problem solving.

    Actioned 24 June 2026

  • Priority:

    Speeding reported along the A6071

Originally raised on 1st December 2025 but recently raised as a continuing issue through the parish council.

    Issued 29 April 2026

    Action taken:

Officers are completing regular high-visibility patrols at key times and completing speed checks using calibrated equipment. We are working with our safety camera vans to ensure they deploy to priority locations.

This remains a highlighted concern as of the 1st of December. Officers are continuing to target the area and carrying out enforcement activity.

    Actioned 29 April 2026
