About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Off road bikes

    Issued 10 March 2025

    Action taken:

We understand the ongoing issue with offroad and Electric Motorcycles which are a local and national issue. The neighbourhood policing teams are actively engaging with the younger members of the community and parents to educate them on the dangers and legal status of riding what some see as toys without a valid license and insurance which is required.

We continue to run Operation Endurance to target and seize problematic offroad/Electric motorcycles. This enforcement approach has led to successful seizures and ultimately the confiscation and crushing of many vehicle over the least few months.

    Actioned 22 May 2025

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour

    Issued 10 March 2025

    Action taken:

We constantly monitor call levels and speak to the public to identify areas where anti-social behaviour is taking place. Where required we adopt a problem-solving approach, working with partners agencies including community safety from the local authority. Over the past 3 months we have used powers including premises closure orders and dispersal orders in areas where there were issues.

In total calls for anti-social behaviour over the three-month period is 545 incidents recorded; this is an increase of 13.1% against the same period last year. Whilst we would always like to see figures going down, we are encouraged that the public are reporting incidents to Police and partners that in the past they may not have. We do use this information to base problem solving and enforcement strategies and direct our resources. we continue to ask incidents are reported.

    Actioned 22 May 2025

  • Priority:

    Drug use and supply

    Issued 10 March 2025

    Action taken:

In Central Stockton we have continued to target drug dealing, particularly where it involves the exploitation of vulnerable persons, including children. We have made several positive interventions and the below is a summary of just some of them. We will continue to act on the intelligence the public provides us and will use powers such as stop search and premises closure to reduce the harm that drug dealing causes in our communities.
