About us

About us

Local policing teams are groups of officers dedicated to serving the community. Teams are made up of officers based in the area, supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to decide policing priorities. This helps teams find long-term solutions to local problems.

Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Antisocial behaviour / vehicle nuisance

    Issued 26 May 2026

    Action taken:

We continue to focus our dedicated ASB patrols in key areas such as Farndale Square, Westfield Court and Park Court, and in the area around Ennis Square. We have been liaising with Beyond Housing regarding anti-social behaviour at Farndale Square and the block of flats. Crime prevention methods have also been discussed. Several youths have been identified as causing issues and AS13 forms have been submitted along with speaking to parents. We have been conducting visits to the local youth club and drop-ins at Dormanstown Primary Academy in order to engage with children and deter nuisance behaviour going forward.
We encourage residents to report off road bike and e-bike nuisance in the ward and particularly any intelligence relating to storage of these bikes and details of persistent riders/offenders. We can then develop any intelligence and target those involved – through specialist operations and use of our drone units.

  • Priority:

    Drug dealing and misuse

    Issued 26 May 2026

    Action taken:

We continue to take a proactive approach to drug dealing and associated criminal behaviour in the area, through warrants, stop searches and high visibility mobile/foot patrols in key areas. Your Neighbourhood Team Officers welcome local intelligence from residents to tackle the problem. Information can be reported via 101 or online via the COPA App. CrimeStoppers is still a great way to let us know about any issues with 100% anonymity – where the charity feeds this anonymous information into us.
Cleveland Connected (Neighbourhood Alerts) and our local social media pages continue to be used in order to pass out information relating to NPT and what we are doing and also to make appeals. Cleveland Connected sign-ups are increasing, if you are not currently signed up – Cleveland Police website gives details and guidance on how to sign up and the benefits of the service.
