Policing priorities

  • Priority:

    Action taken:

  • Priority:

Using a combination of your feedback and our own data, we have set the below priorities for your local neighbourhood policing team in Peterborough Central for July to September:

    Street-level drug dealing in Millfield.
High-visibility presence tackling anti-social behaviour in open spaces.

    Issued 24 June 2026

    Action taken:

    1) Street-level drug dealing in Millfield.
Officers from the team have successfully applied for a three-month closure order for Bake Me 1 in Gladstone Street following concerns raised by local people about drug dealing and anti-social behaviour connected to the premises.
In similar enforcement activity, the Mini DIY store in Lincoln Road was made subject to a three-month closure order following concerns about drug dealing activity. Three warrants were also conducted at properties linked to the business.
These orders completely close the businesses and prevent them from trading for three months, aiming to combat the anti-social behaviour and drug activity linked to them.
The team have also arrested two men for being concerned in supplying drugs. An investigation is ongoing.
    2) High-visibility presence tackling anti-social behaviour in open spaces.
The team’s PCSOs continue to patrol the area on a regular basis, as well as conducting joint activity with partner agencies.
In one example of the team’s activity, a woman was arrested and charged for multiple breaches of a Community Protection Notice (CPN). At court, she was made subject to a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) with strict stipulations aimed at stopping her ongoing anti-social behaviour along Lincoln Road.

    Actioned 11 August 2026

  • Priority:

High-visibility patrols targeting shoplifting and violence against shop-workers in and around Maskew Avenue Retail Park.

    Issued 30 June 2026

    Action taken:

As with the previous priority, the area is regularly patrolled by PCSOs who engage with local businesses.
The ongoing work of the Spree Offender Team, who target repeat offenders, and improvements in the investigation process has resulted in an increased confidence in reporting. This continues and enables the neighbourhood team to gain a true understanding of the issues faced by businesses.

An example of proactive work to tackle the issue is the arrest of a known shoplifter by officers from the neighbourhood team who were on patrol in Taverners Road.

    Actioned 11 August 2026
